Samuel Dungah, the administrator of New Life Church and Prayer Centre, has condemned the break-in, describing it as an act driven by hatred and deep disrespect.
He emphasized the spiritual significance of the stolen covenant box, stating, “It was a sacred item brought from Israel. The pastor prayed over it, blessed it, and placed it in the church.”
"It’s heartbreaking to learn that intruders violated the most sacred part of our Church and made away with holy items. This is a blatant act of disrespect," Dungah added.
He, however, noted that the situation remains calm and that normal church activities have resumed. “For now, we are treating it as a typical case of theft as we await the outcome of the police investigations,” he said.
