WhatsApp has launched a new Chat Media Hub on its web platform, allowing users to easily access and manage shared images, videos, documents, and links across their chats.

The update brings WhatsApp Web closer to the mobile experience, where a similar feature has been available for some time.

The Media Hub will appear as a dedicated section in the sidebar, giving users one-click access to all shared files without needing to open individual chats.

According to WEBetaInfo, the hub will be divided into three sections: media, documents, and links. Each section will display details such as the sender, date shared, and other relevant information.

Users will also be able to sort items by oldest, most recent, or largest file first.

A caption-based search feature is being added to help users locate specific files faster.

The hub supports multi-select options, allowing users to delete, download, or forward multiple files at once.

In recent months, WhatsApp has been focusing on improving media management across its platforms. The media hub is part of that effort and follows similar updates for group and community chats.

This addition is expected to make media access simpler and more organised for WhatsApp Web users.
