Kenyans invited to share input for 2025/26 budget preparation

The National Treasury is inviting all Kenyans to submit their ideas and proposals on economic policies and tax measures to help shape the upcoming budget.
The Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning, John Mbadi is set to present the FY 2025/26 Budget Statement to Parliament on June 12, 2025.
Ahead of this, the National Treasury is inviting all Kenyans to submit their ideas and proposals on economic policies and tax measures to help shape the upcoming budget.
"Our Cabinet Secretary, Hon. John Mbadi, encourages citizens, businesses, and institutions to share proposals on economic policies, tax measures, and public spending priorities to enhance service delivery and promote inclusive growth," said a statement by Treasury PS Chris Kiptoo.
Kenyans are being encouraged to focus on key areas, including sustainable economic recovery, improving livelihoods, reducing the cost of living, job creation, expanding the tax base, and promoting inclusive growth.
The public is also urged to suggest ways to accelerate government priority programs under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), strengthen business and industrial recovery, enhance opportunities for youth and women, and promote fiscal discipline.

"This is a chance for Kenyans to actively participate in shaping economic policies that affect the nation’s growth and development," said the statement by the Treasury.
