'I'm enjoying it'- CS Kabogo reacts to online trolling

However, on Tuesday evening, he finally addressed one of the posts, brushing off the criticism and assuring that the mockery didn’t affect him.
ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has finally addressed the recent online trolling from Kenyans, stating that he is actually enjoying it.
For the past few days, Kabogo has been the subject of ridicule, particularly regarding his educational qualifications and fashion choices.
Some online critics have questioned his suitability to spearhead Kenya's digital transformation due to perceived gaps in his academic background.
A photo of the CS, dressed in an oversized white shirt, a red tie, tight brown khaki pants, striped brown socks, and brown safari shoes, went viral on social media, triggering a flood of comments and reactions from Kenyans.
The image began circulating on Saturday, May 10, drawing a strong stream of banter, mockery, and laughter, with critics questioning his sense of fashion.
Amid the online banter and memes, some Kenyans voiced concerns about the attire of public figures, with a few suggesting that the outfit didn't align with his responsibilities as a Cabinet Secretary.
"The meme challenge featuring ICT CS Kabogo has gone viral across the internet, especially among Gen Z. Truly, Kenyans are unruly," one user remarked.
Despite the ongoing ridicule, the CS remained silent at first. However, on Tuesday evening, he finally addressed one of the posts, brushing off the criticism and assuring that the mockery didn’t affect him.
On his X account, the ICT minister shared: "I am enjoying it, and if no one does this, then that's a serious concern," implying that he wasn’t bothered by the posts.
Kabogo, who is known for his bold and candid nature, had previously served as the Governor of Kiambu. He was appointed as the ICT minister on January 17 of this year.
During his swearing-in ceremony, Kabogo committed to advancing the digitisation agenda to improve service delivery and enhance efficiency.
"We aim to digitise our ministry completely and begin the process of digitising the entire government, enabling us to serve Kenyans faster, more efficiently, and in real time," he remarked.
He conveyed confidence in collaborating with all officers to implement the digital superhighway and enhance the creative economy.
