Iranian missile strikes hit Tel Aviv, Haifa and Ness Ziona

In Tel Aviv’s Ramat Aviv neighborhood, several residential buildings sustained heavy damage, with gaping holes visible in the facades.
Multiple locations across Israel, including the coastal city of Tel Aviv, were struck by Iranian missile attacks early Sunday morning, leaving at least 23 people injured, according to police and emergency services.
In Tel Aviv’s Ramat Aviv neighborhood, several residential buildings sustained heavy damage, with gaping holes visible in the facades.
“Homes here suffered significant destruction,” said Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai while addressing reporters at the scene.
“Luckily, one of the buildings was already scheduled for demolition, so no one was inside. Everyone who made it to the shelter is unharmed. The damage to property is substantial, but thankfully, lives were spared.”
Israeli police reported deployments to additional strike zones in Ness Ziona, located south of Tel Aviv, and in Haifa, a northern port city.
In Haifa, images from AFP showed a public square littered with debris, with surrounding shops and homes visibly damaged.
Eli Bin, head of the Magen David Adom emergency service, confirmed that 23 people were wounded across the country, including two with moderate injuries and the rest with minor wounds.
The Israeli military stated that two waves of missile attacks began at around 7:30 am local time (0430 GMT).
Air raid sirens sounded across various cities, followed by the activation of Israel’s defense systems. Loud explosions were heard in both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Authorities also confirmed that missile debris had fallen in northern areas, including the Haifa region, where emergency teams responded to what was described as an “accident site.”
Due to military censorship laws, media reporting on missile strikes remains restricted.
However, official sources have acknowledged at least 50 confirmed impacts across Israel since hostilities with Iran erupted on June 13. The death toll now stands at 25.
The cities of Tel Aviv, Beersheba in the south, and Haifa in the north have been among the most frequent targets.
Meanwhile, Israel’s advanced air defense systems have reportedly intercepted more than 450 missiles and approximately 1,000 drones, according to the latest figures from the Israeli military.
