He is accused of offering a firearm and approximately 200,000 Swedish kronor (about USD 18,000) to carry out a targeted killing in Denmark.

A 15-year-old Swedish boy has been arrested in Sydney, Australia, after allegedly attempting to hire hitmen to kill members of a rival gang in Scandinavia.

Authorities believe the teenager was acting on behalf of a Nordic criminal organization, despite being sent to Australia by his family in a bid to escape gang influence.

According to investigators, the boy continued coordinating violent crimes from abroad, using encrypted messaging platforms to communicate with contacts in Sweden and Denmark.

He is accused of offering a firearm and approximately 200,000 Swedish krona (Ssh2.7 million) to carry out a targeted killing in Denmark.

The arrest followed a joint operation between Australian, Swedish, and Danish police.

A raid on his home in western Sydney revealed evidence linking him to the alleged murder plots.

The teen has been charged under both Australian and Danish criminal law for using telecommunications services with the intent to solicit murder.

The boy was denied bail and is currently in custody, with a court hearing scheduled for June.

The case has sparked international concern over the expanding reach of European gang networks and the involvement of minors in organized crime.
