The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has announced the automation of the self-declaration process, making it easier for individuals seeking state or public office to comply with integrity requirements.

In a notice on Friday, EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud said the online system will allow users to fill and submit their self-declaration forms digitally.

“All persons from whom a Self-Declaration is required may access and fill the form online,” he stated.

The self-declaration requirement, provided under Sections 12A and 13(2) of the Leadership and Integrity Act, applies to individuals seeking election or appointment to state or public offices.

The form, which was previously completed manually, is now accessible through the EACC website at www.eacc.go.ke or directly via the Adili portal at https://adili.eacc.go.ke.

To use the system, applicants must create an account, verify their details via email and SMS, and complete the required sections.

The form must then be printed, commissioned by a Commissioner for Oaths or a Magistrate, and uploaded back onto the system for processing.

Upon submission, an automatic acknowledgment receipt is generated, which may be used to support an application.

EACC  has urged the public to take advantage of the digital process to streamline compliance.

“The automation of this process enhances efficiency and ensures a seamless experience for users,” Mohamud said.

For inquiries, EACC has provided contact details through its Help Desk at 0709 781000, 0730 997000, or 020 4997000.
