KNEC calls for 2025 KCSE Oral and Practical exam assessors

The recruitment exercise will run from June 10 to July 30, 2025, and successful applicants will undergo training in preparation for their duties.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has invited applications from qualified secondary school teachers and college tutors to serve as assessors for the 2025 KCSE oral and practical examinations.
The recruitment exercise will run from June 10 to July 30, 2025, and successful applicants will undergo training in preparation for their duties.
The training will focus on roles and responsibilities during the assessment of specific 2025 KCSE examination papers.
These include Paper Mechanics (447/2), Electricity (448/2), Aviation Technology (450/2), French Oral (501/3), German Oral (502/3), Arabic Oral (503/3), Kenyan Sign Language Signing Practical (504/3), and Music Practical (511/1).
KNEC noted that teachers and tutors who are already in its database of assessors do not need to apply again.
Interested candidates must be practising teachers or tutors in the subjects they wish to assess. They must also be registered with the Teachers Service Commission or a recognized professional body.
For Aviation Technology, applicants must have a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering and at least three years of teaching experience in the subject.
All applicants must be 50 years of age or below, and should not be under interdiction or facing disciplinary action. Each applicant must be recommended by their head of institution or employer.
Applications must be submitted through the KNEC examiners’ portal at https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke.
Those with existing CP2 accounts should log in using their usernames and passwords.
Applicants who have forgotten their passwords can use the Reset Password option by entering their mobile number to receive a new password.
Applicants without CP2 accounts should create one by following the portal’s instructions.
Once logged in, they are required to complete and save their personal profiles before proceeding to apply for the available assessor vacancies on the dashboard.
KNEC has emphasized that the slots are limited and only qualified applicants who present the required documents will be shortlisted.
