21 year old sentenced to jail for pitch invasion during Ghana match

A 21-year-old has been sentenced to 100 days behind bars by a Ghanaian Court for invading the pitch during Ghana's match against Chad.
The match took place on Friday, 21 March, at the Accra Sports Stadium as Ghana sought three points to enhance their chances of playing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
The Black Stars won the match 5-0.
According to Ghanaian outlet MyJoy Online, Mohammed Huzeinu will serve 100 days in prison for the offence.
According to the report, the Ghana Football Association has been previously flagged for the same behaviour, costing it cash in fines and risking the security of players and fans alike with his behaviour.
"The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has previously consistently urged fans to avoid such behaviour and insisting on discipline and adherence to match day protocols to avoid fines and maintain Ghana's reputation in international football," a statement from the GFA read.
According to the report in 2019, Ghana was charged 10,000 dollars in 2021 following a fan invasion during an AFCON qualifier V South Africa.
