Babu, Wandayi, Bitok among leaders awarded for outstanding performance

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino was ranked the best-performing MP in the country during the prestigious Politrack Africa Star Leaders Awards held in Nairobi on Friday.
The MP was among numerous other leaders from the Senate, National Assembly, Cabinet, and county governments recognized for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
Newly appointed Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku was also recognized for his performance, securing the fourth-best MP position during his tenure in Parliament.
In the gubernatorial category, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu emerged as the best governor.
Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda was honored as the best-performing senator, followed by Migori Senator Eddie Oketch and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka, while Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna secured the fifth position.
Nairobi County's Chief Officer for Environment Geoffrey Mosiria, won the award for Best Chief Officer.
Julius Bitok, who was recently reassigned as the Principal Secretary for Education, was honored as the Best PS for his performance at the Immigration and Citizen Services docket.
In the Cabinet Secretary category, Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi took home the Best CS award.
The Politrack Africa Star Leaders Awards celebrate excellence in governance, public service, and leadership by recognizing outstanding performers across various sectors in Kenya.
