Toha, who was close to leaving Police during the January transfer window, is expected to leave the club this off-season upon the expiry of his contract, which Police will not renew.

South Sudan international defender Rashid Toha has officially confirmed his departure from Kenyan Premier League outfit Police FC, marking the end of a two-year chapter with the club.

Toha, who was close to leaving Police during the January transfer window, is expected to leave the club this off-season upon the expiry of his contract, which Police will not renew.

In a statement released on his official social media platforms, Toha expressed deep gratitude to Police, its management, and supporters, while revealing that the upcoming matches against Shabana FC and Gor Mahia would be his last in Police FC colours.

"This might not be the right time to put this out there, but I believe it’s the right thing to do," Toha wrote.

"The game against Shabana FC and Gor Mahia will be my last time putting on the famous red and blue jerseys of Police FC," he said.

The towering defender thanked all those who supported him throughout his journey at the club.

"I want to thank the club management, Board members, the Club Chairman, CEO, team managers, technical staff, and the players."

The experienced Toha, who is a full South Sudan international, reflected on his time in Kenya, acknowledging both the challenges and highlights of his stay in Nairobi.

"I have had two seasons full of ups and downs, but in the end, I am so grateful for everything. Police FC will always have a special place in my heart, and hopefully one day our paths cross again, InshAllah," he added.

With just two matches left to play in the 2024/25 Kenya Premier League season, Police are serious favourites to pick up their maiden League title.

Having collected 61 points, six ahead of second-place Tusker and seven ahead of reigning champions Gor Mahia, they need to avoid defeat in just one of their remaining matches to be crowned KPL champs.

Toha is hoping that his time at Police will end in celebration.

"Before I sign out, let’s get the win and celebrate this with the league title, InshAllah," he said while concluding his statement.

The experienced Toha is well-travelled.

Before his stint in Kenya, Toha featured for several Ugandan clubs, including Onduparaka FC, Arua Hill SC, and Uganda Premier League reigning champions Vipers SC, as well as playing back home for several clubs in his native South Sudan.
