Bruno hands Amorim opportunity to rebuild Manchester United squad

According to the BBC, Fernandes has rejected a huge offer from Saudi Pro-League club Al-Hilal, who have been chasing the Portuguese star's signature for a number of months now.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is happy to stay at the club despite the on-and-off-pitch problems that have seen the club drop to the bottom half of the English Premier League standings and seen fans hold endless protests against poor leadership.
According to the BBC, Fernandes has rejected a huge offer from Saudi Pro-League club Al-Hilal, who have been chasing the Portuguese star's signature for a number of months now.
Fernandes has spent the past few days seriously considering the deal, which would have more than doubled his salary at Manchester United, where he is one of the biggest earners.
However, after discussing the matter with his family, Fernandes has informed Al-Hilal he will not be joining them.
He is likely to respond when he will be inevitably asked about the situation when he is expected to conduct a pre-match press conference in Germany before Portugal's Nations League semi-final on Wednesday.
United are understood to be delighted by the news, which came after head coach Ruben Amorim on Friday expressed his belief that Fernandes would remain at Old Trafford.
There were no direct conversations between United and Al-Hilal, so they were never presented with a bid they could turn down.
However, it was expected Al-Hilal were prepared to offer between £80m and £100m ( Approx Ksh 17 Billion) to sign the 30-year-old in time for this month's Club World Cup.
His decision to stay at United will be well received, especially as United target an overhaul to their squad following a disastrous season overall, which saw the club end the season without securing any form of European football for next season.
The club has already moved to correct the issues they have upfront by signing Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha and are in talks to take Brentford's Cameroon forward Bryan Mbeumo to Old Trafford. There are several players who are expected to leave the club this summer.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho, among others, are expected to leave Old Trafford once suitable offers are received for their services. Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, and Jonny Evans have already left the club following expiry of their deals at Old Trafford.
