De Bruyne moves to Italian Champions Napoli following Manchester City exit

The Belgium international has now given the green light to a move to Italy and is set to travel to Naples for a medical with Napoli, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Kevin De Bruyne has decided to move to Italian Champions Napoli for the 2025/26 season following his exit from Manchester City.
The Belgium international has now given the green light to a move to Italy and is set to travel to Naples for a medical with Napoli, according to Fabrizio Romano.
De Bruyne has been linked with a move to the United States or Saudi Arabia, with clubs in both countries showing genuine interest in his services.
However, despite the advances, the Belgian prefers a move to Italy, where he can continue at the top level, including playing in the UEFA Champions League.
"Kevin De Bruyne to Napoli, here we go! Final green light arrives from Belgian star to join Italian champions," he announced Tuesday.
"Two-year deal + option agreed, medical and formal steps to follow for KDB to become Napoli player. Massive signing for Napoli, planning for more to come," he reported.
During his time at Manchester City, De Bruyne provided the most assists in Europe's top five leagues across all competitions: 170 in 422 appearances.
The 33-year-old will link up with head coach Antonio Conte, who led the club to the title last season in what is expected to be yet another tilt at retaining their title.
