Gor Mahia coach Sinisa Mihic says that his side are mentally ready to take on rivals AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji Derby on Sunday.

Gor and Leopards battle at the Nyayo Stadium as the Green Army look to bridge the gap between them and Kenya Police FC, who sit top of the KPL standings. Gor are three points behind Police but have a game in hand.

Mihic, who was appointed in February, will be taking part in his first derby but says he is confident that Gor will be at their best as they chase three valuable points.

"We are ready. We will approach this game with seriousness, and we know we need three points. It is a must-win game for us. We are prepared for this event," he told Radio Generation Sport.

Mihic understands the importance of the clash, as Leopards represent old rivals, and insists that he will go for nothing short of a win.

"We respect Leopards as long time rivals but the history is in the past. Tomorrow we must deliver for the fans," he added.

Kick off will be at 4 pm from Nyayo Stadium.
