Harambee Stars striker announces he will run for Isiolo North MP in 2027

Juma made his mark on the big stage back in 2017 when he won the Kenya Premier League Golden Boot with 18 goals while playing for Kariobangi Sharks. He's previously featured for Bandari (winning the FKF President's Cup 2015 and Kenyan Super Cup 2016), Sony Sugar, Cape Town City (South Africa), Dibba Al-Fujairah (UAE), Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi (Morocco), Al-Faisaly (Saudi Arabia), Al-Jabalain (Saudi Arabia).

Harambee Stars striker Masoud Juma will make his debut in politics at the 2027 elections as he announced Monday that he is looking to run for parliament and represent his home area Isiolo North.

Juma, who was named by head coach Benni McCarthy in Kenya's recent African Nations Championships CHAN squad and is a well travelled striker, has recently hinted that he is ready to hang his boots following a successful playing career.

He has now confirmed through his social media pages, that he is ready to join the highly competitive political field.

Juma made his mark on the big stage back in 2017 when he won the Kenya Premier League Golden Boot with 18 goals while playing for Kariobangi Sharks.

He's previously featured for Bandari (winning the FKF President's Cup 2015 and Kenyan Super Cup 2016), Sony Sugar, Cape Town City (South Africa), Dibba Al-Fujairah (UAE), Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi (Morocco), Al-Faisaly (Saudi Arabia), Al-Jabalain (Saudi Arabia).

He was most recently with Esteghlal FC (Iran), where he won the Iranian Hazfi Cup (2024-25). He was also a CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup winner with Kenya in 2017. Juma also featured at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Prior to CHAN, Juma joined Migori Youth to assist him register for the national team following an availability crisis for strikers, but he exited the club right after the competition without making a competitive appearance.
