Formula 1: Piastri dominates to win in Bahrain, Verstappen sixth

It was a first home win of sorts for McLaren, whose majority shareholders are from the Gulf State.
Australian driver Oscar Piastri showed he means business this season with a well-deserved victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix Sunday evening, motoring his McLaren to victory ahead of Mercedes' George Russell.
Piastri's teammate Lando Norris finished third after failing to push past a determined Russell, who survived in the last lap thanks to amazing defensive driving to earn second place.
Charles Leclerc came home in fourth after being passed by Norris towards the end of the race.
Lewis Hamilton went from ninth to fifth, Max Verstappen finished sixth, and Pierre Gasly delivered Alpine their first points of the season with his seventh place.
Esteban Ocon was eighth, Yuki Tsunoda ninth, and Oliver Bearman finished 10th after starting last on the grid, which meant double points in Bahrain for Haas.
Williams' Carlos Sainz Jr did not finish the race.
It was a first home win of sorts for McLaren, whose majority shareholders are from the Gulf State and means that Norris now leads the Formula 1 drivers championships with 77 points, three points over Piastri (74) who also won the recently held Japanese Grand Prix.
Verstappen's poor run in Bahrain sees his eight points behind his twin title rivals with 69 points.
Russell is fourth with 63 points.
