Watch Kenya vs Zambia match from official fan zones, Sakaja tells fans

Sakaja warned that the stadium has reached full capacity and that attempting to enter could be dangerous.
Nairobi Governor Sakaja Johnson has called on football fans to avoid trying to force their way into the already full Kasarani Stadium ahead of Kenya’s crucial match against Zambia.
Speaking on Sunday morning, August 17, Sakaja warned that the stadium has reached full capacity and that attempting to enter could be dangerous.
He encouraged fans to watch the game safely from the official fan zones set up across Nairobi.
“These fan zones are for everyone. You can come together, enjoy the game safely, and feel part of the action even if you’re not inside the stadium,” Sakaja said.
He stated that Nairobi County, in partnership with private companies, has rolled out several fan zones to ensure that football lovers can enjoy the Harambee Stars in a fun, safe, and affordable way.
Some of the main fan zones include the National Archives in the Central Business District and Uhuru Park.
Each zone will host hundreds of fans and provide big screens, entertainment, and security to recreate a stadium-like atmosphere.
Sakaja emphasized that these zones are designed to give supporters the excitement of being at the stadium while keeping everyone safe.
“We want Nairobians to celebrate our national team with joy, not stress. Football is about unity, community, and spirit. These fan zones will help everyone enjoy the excitement without risking safety,” the Governor added.
The fan zones will also feature live entertainment, music, and security personnel, allowing fans to enjoy the game in comfort.
The goal is to give Nairobi’s football lovers a shared experience, bringing people together even outside the stadium.
Kenya’s fixture against Zambia has sparked national pride, with fans across the country gearing up to cheer for the Harambee Stars.
