Counties to experience varying weather conditions

The Kenya Meteorological Department has released a detailed forecast showing varying weather patterns across the country from June 6, Friday to June 9, with some counties expecting rain and others facing hot and dry conditions.

In Kisumu, Kakamega, Nakuru, and Bungoma, sunny mornings will be followed by afternoon showers and thunderstorms from Thursday to Saturday.

Nights will be partly cloudy with light showers, and daytime temperatures are expected to stay between 28°C and 30°C.

Nairobi, Nyeri, and Murang’a will experience cloudy mornings that clear up as the day progresses.

Afternoon showers are expected each day, while daytime temperatures will stay around 27°C.

Nights may get cold, dropping to 5°C in some areas.

In contrast, Turkana and Samburu are expected to remain dry during the day with partly cloudy nights.

Temperatures will be hot, between 35°C and 36°C during the day, but nights may feel cold with lows of 8°C.

Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera will see mostly dry weather, with only a slight chance of rain in a few areas. Daytime temperatures will soar to 38°C.

Kitui, Makueni, and Machakos will experience a mix of sunshine and light showers, especially in the mornings and evenings. Temperatures will range between 30°C and 32°C.

Along the Coast, counties including Mombasa, Lamu, Kilifi, and Kwale are likely to have showers in the mornings and afternoons, mainly on Thursday and Sunday.

Temperatures will stay between 30°C and 32°C, with high humidity and warm nights.

The department urged people across all regions to follow daily updates and remain alert to any weather changes.
