Fresh appointments in Health, Treasury, Interior, and other ministries

Several Cabinet Secretaries have made new appointments across different ministries, with the changes set to take effect from March 28, 2025.
The appointments, outlined in a gazette notice published on Friday, include key positions in health, finance, interior, and education.
Health CS Aden Duale appointed Roselyn Munga as a member of the Social Health Authority (SHA) for a three-year term. He also revoked the appointment of Zakayo Kariuki Gichuki.
In addition, Duale named Harisson Wangoro to serve on the Board of Kenya BioVax Institute Limited for the same period.
In the National Treasury, CS John Mbadi appointed Thomas Gichuhi and Ben Kajwang as members of the Board of Directors of the Policy Holders Compensation Fund. Their term will last three years.
Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen made six appointments to the Firearms Licensing Board. Jemimah Akinyi, Hussein Bakari, Edwin Wanjohi, Nancy Muthoni, Solomon Kibet, and Susan Mugambi were named as board members for three years.
At the Ministry of Education, CS Julius Ogamba appointed Dickson Andala as Chairperson of the selection panel for the recruitment of the Board of the National Commission for Science, Technology, and Innovation (NACOSTI).
He was appointed alongside Daniel Mugendi, who will serve as a panel member. The panel will be dissolved once the board members have been selected.
Further, Ogamba appointed Fuad Abdalla to the Governing Council of the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) for a three-year term.
Additionally, Halima Saado Abdillahi was named as a member of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Placement Board.
Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe appointed Tabitha Lagat to serve on the Tea Board of Kenya for three years, starting from March 28, 2025.
Labour CS Alfred Mutua also made an appointment, naming Anne Owour as a trustee of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Board of Trustees for a three-year term.
