Nairobi United head coach and former AFC Leopards stalwart Nicholas Muyoti says that his side will go for the jugular when they take on pre match favourites Gor Mahia in the final of Kenya's premier cup competition, the Mozzart Cup Final.

The recently promoted Nairobi United, who will be looking forward to top flight football next season, will battle Gor at the Ulinzi Stadium Sunday, as they look to make a name for themselves against their storied opponents.

Nairobi United have defied expectations this season to make the final, having knocked out FKF Premier League sides Tusker FC, KCB FC, Kakamega Homeboyz, and Mara Sugar FC to book their place in the final.

Muyoti is adamant that Gor Mahia will not have any advantage as a result, stating that it will be 11 versus 11 on the day.

"It will not be easy at all. We are up against one of the biggest teams in the country, a club with a rich winning history. We have to be at our very best," he said ahead of the clash.

"History won’t matter when the game comes, it will be 11 versus 11 on the pitch, and everyone will have to give their best,” he said of the encounter.

Muyoti, who has featured in many battles against Gor as a player, is confident that his squad will be up for the task come kick off on Sunday at what will be a packed Ulinzi ground. His captain Isaac Ouma in an interview with Mozzart Sport, is dreaming of a continental campaign next season.

"This is a big game for us no doubt. The winning ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup is important for us. It is a big game that we are grateful to be a part of and we are looking forward to it, he added.

The match will be played at the Ulinzi Stadium in Nairobi, Sunday with kick off at 3 PM Kenyan time.
