Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has urged his administration to step up service delivery, stressing the need for accountability and measurable outcomes.
The county boss convened a high-level performance and development meeting at the County Headquarters on Wednesday.
The meeting, chaired by Governor Nathif and attended by County Secretary Mohamud Mursal and Chief of Staff Abdullahi Gedi, brought together all County Chief Officers to review progress and chart the way forward.
Deliberations centered on staffing, performance appraisals, and the Governor’s anniversary milestones.
The officials strongly emphasized on aligning sector priorities to the county’s development blueprint.
Governor Nathif called on his team to translate policies into tangible results, noting that residents expect meaningful impact rather than rhetoric.
“Every officer must deliver measurable results. Our people expect impact, not promises. Together, let’s make every sector a driver of progress and service to the people of Garissa,” he said.
According to a media dispatch following the meeting, they also mapped out new development priorities across various sectors, ranging from infrastructure and health to education and youth empowerment.
Governor Nathif highlighted that improved service delivery, inclusive growth, and accountability remain central pillars of his second term.
He said he intends to position Garissa to accelerate progress in line with county and national development goals.
