CS Ruku calls on Kenyans to support Kenya Kwanza government

Newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development, and Special Programmes, Geoffrey Ruku, has appealed to Kenyans to unite in support of President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, emphasizing the importance of national unity for progress and development.

Addressing congregants during an Easter Sunday service and the ordination ceremony of Pastor Anderson Mwiathi at Ítúgúrúrú Baptist Church in Chuka Igambang'ombe, Tharaka Nithi County, CS Ruku made his first public appearance since taking office.

He called on residents to stand with the Kenya Kwanza administration, noting the government’s milestones and its dedication to national transformation.

"When President Ruto assumed office, the country was facing significant challenges. However, we are now witnessing the revival of previously stalled projects. Both the President and his deputy are working relentlessly to ensure development reaches all corners of the nation," Ruku stated.

He pointed to the ongoing construction of the Ítúgúrúrú-Mate Road, along with other development initiatives in Chuka Igambang'ombe, as clear evidence of the government’s dedication to improving infrastructure and uplifting communities.

Ruku underscored the need for unity, collective support, and patience in driving national development.

"These efforts are not without challenges, but with a common purpose and the Church’s prayers, we can accomplish even more," he remarked.

He assured the public that his ministry would collaborate closely with other government agencies to roll out reforms that are practical, timely, and focused on improving citizens' lives.

"Our goal is to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. I will take personal responsibility to see that our systems function as they should," he pledged.

The CS also highlighted various projects in Chuka Igambang'ombe, including the fully funded Natasha Makena Hospital, as proof of the government’s commitment to meeting the needs of the people.

CS Geoffrey Ruku also appealed to voters to give President William Ruto a second term in the 2027 elections, asserting that a government that is delivering on its promises deserves the opportunity to fulfill its full mandate.

"If a government is performing, it should be given the chance to complete its agenda," he stated.

He urged residents to ignore political detractors who, according to him, aim to undermine the government without presenting constructive solutions.

"We should not be misled by those who are loud but lack substance," he cautioned.
