Mudavadi said the country’s police have earned global respect through participation in more than 50 peace missions worldwide.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has praised the Kenyan police as one of the most professional security forces in the world, citing their stellar record in international peacekeeping missions.

Speaking during a homecoming ceremony for Dr. Amani Komora, the Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) on Saturday, October 12, 2025, Mudavadi said the country’s police have earned global respect through participation in more than 50 peace missions worldwide.

“Our security forces are professional, orderly, and regarded globally. We must ensure that the standards are kept at any given time,” he said.

He highlighted the ongoing peacekeeping mission in Haiti, where over 800 Kenyan officers are deployed, as proof of the force’s discipline and professionalism.

The Prime CS said in the months Kenyan police have been in Haiti, no single case of human rights violations has been reported against them.

“The peace mission in Haiti has been there for 15 months, and there is no single recorded case of human rights violation. This is a testament to their professionalism,” Mudavadi said.

He urged Komora to maintain and elevate the high standards set by his predecessor, Eliud Kinuthia, in managing the NPSC.

Mudavadi commended Komora’s public service record, describing him as a role model for the youth and a unifying figure.

“His leadership is an inspiration and a testament to the transformative power of dedication and discipline,” he added.

Mudavadi said Komora’s rise reflected the strength of integrity and unity in public service, urging Kenyans to uphold professionalism and peace in building the nation.

He also called on the people of Tana River County to embrace peace, saying stability is key to attracting investment and driving development.

“Every investor is keen to put their money where there is peace. It is therefore important that you maintain a harmonious life to attract development in your area,” he said, citing the Galana Kulalu project as an example of progress made possible by peace.
