2026 FIFA World Cup: Who has already qualified?

This week, Uzbekistan and Jordan qualified for their first World Cups, while South Korea also secured their place at the tournament.
With 48 slots to be filled and the clock ticking towards kick-off in the Americas, more and more teams secured their place at next year's FIFA World Cup on Thursday.
This week, Uzbekistan and Jordan qualified for their first World Cups, while South Korea also secured their place at the tournament.
They thus become the eighth, ninth and 10th teams to confirm their spots at the expanded tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
Previously, the tournament hosted 36 nations.
The three hosts have qualified automatically, while the latest trio to qualify join Japan, New Zealand, Iran and Argentina who made it earlier on the last qualifying sequence in April.
Uzbekistan drew 0-0 with the United Arab Emirates while South Korea beat Iraq 2-0 later in the day to qualify for their 11th straight World Cup, a result that meant Jordan's 3-0 win against Oman confirmed their historic qualification.
Several qualifiers across Europe and South America take place tonight, over the weekend and in the next two weeks as the World Cup in the Americas beckons.
