With World Cup dream gone, Kenya Simbas gear up to face Algeria

Kenya Simbas have now shifted focus to facing off with Algeria this weekend in the Rugby Africa Cup after their narrow semifinal loss to Zimbabwe this past Sunday in Kampala, Uganda.
The 2025 Rugby Africa Cup final is now set, with Namibia and Zimbabwe set to battle for the continental crown and Africa’s direct qualification ticket to the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The two confirmed their places in the final after impressive victories in the semifinals staged at Namboole Stadium in Kampala. Zimbabwe saw off Kenya Simbas 29-23 in a fiercely contested semifinal on Sunday, with Namibia overcoming Algeria 21-7 to book their spot.
They will now hope to book third spot versus Algeria on Saturday.
"We are disappointed that we did not make the final. We have now shifted focus to finishing well and we will face a strong side in Algeria, captain George Nyambua said of the Saturday clash.
Uganda will now face Ivory Coast in the 7th place playoff, while Morocco and Senegal will contest the 5th place final
