Ogam leaves Tusker, signs for Austrian side Wolfsberger AC

The transfer marks an exciting new chapter for one of Kenya’s brightest young football talents.
Tusker FC confirms that striker Ryan Wesley Ogam has completed a move to Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC.
The transfer marks an exciting new chapter for one of Kenya’s brightest young football talents.
Ogam, who joined Tusker at the start of last season, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in both domestic and international football.
Originally playing as a midfielder before joining Tusker from Rainbow FC, the 21-year-old was converted into a striker by coach Charles Okere and went on to score 15 goals in 17 appearances in the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season.
Despite picking an injury in January and requiring surgery that kept him out for three months, Ogam managed to rise and returned just in time for the final game of the season against Kakamega Homeboyz, tanking 45 minutes in Mumias.
His return to fitness earned him a place with the national team Harambee Stars for the just-concluded African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, where he scored decisive match-winning goals against Morocco and Zambia, further underlining his potential.
“Ryan has been an outstanding player for Tusker FC and a true ambassador for Kenyan football. His goals and commitment have inspired both his teammates and fans. While we are proud of what he has achieved with us, we are equally proud to see him take this big step to Europe. We wish him every success at Wolfsberger AC,” said Tusker FC Chairman Charles Gacheru.
Meanwhile, Wolfsberger AC Club President Dietmar Riegler said they are delighted over the new signing.
“He is an exciting young striker with great potential, and we have followed his progress at Tusker FC with keen interest and his recent performance for his county with the National team, Harambee Stars.”
