AFC Leopards fans were left frustrated Saturday afternoon after a late goal ensured a 1-2 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz at a packed Dandora Stadium in the Kenya Premier League action.

Earlier on at the same venue, Posta Rangers couldn't hold off the challenge of Mathare United, succumbing to a 3-2 defeat to dent their hopes of avoiding relegation this season.

Derrick Anami, Musa Masika, and Paul Kinyanjui did the business for Mathare on 18,61, and 66 minutes. Felix Owuor and Hamza Mwinyi registered for Posta.

Rangers have 25 points and are placed 15th in the 18-team league, and a win by any of the sides below them will see them.

City Stars, Murang'a Seal, and Bidco United make up the bottom three, with City Stars on 23 and the others on 24.

Victor Omune handed Leopards the lead early in the first half in the second kick off but Homeboyz were level not long before the break through Moses Shumah.

Homeboyz won the game late through Henry Omolo who poked home on 84 minutes to hand the visitors a big win.

The three points see Homeboyz climb above Leopards on the log and into sixth spot with 38 points from 26 played. Leopards have 37, but with a game in hand.
