Review
Napoli 2-1 Genoa
Napoli battled back from a goal down to claim a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Genoa at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, moving to the top of the Serie A table on goal difference. The visitors struck first when Jeff Ekhator produced a clever back-heel finish to give Genoa a surprise lead, silencing the home supporters. Napoli pushed forward but couldn’t find a breakthrough before halftime. The champions emerged with greater intensity in the second half, and their pressure paid off when André-Frank Zambo Anguissa rose highest to head in the equalizer. Napoli completed the turnaround minutes later through Rasmus Højlund, who finished clinically to secure all three points. The win maintained Napoli’s momentum but came with concerns after injuries to Stanislav Lobotka and Matteo Politano forced early changes.
Juventus 0-0 AC Milan
Juventus and AC Milan shared the spoils in a cagey 0-0 draw in Turin, as both sides struggled to find a cutting edge in front of goal. The match’s pivotal moment came early in the second half when Milan were awarded a penalty after Santiago Giménez was brought down in the box. However, Christian Pulisic squandered a golden chance, sending his effort over the bar and letting Juventus off the hook. The game remained finely balanced, with both defences standing firm and clear opportunities few and far between. Milan pushed late on but couldn’t break through a disciplined Juventus back line. The result denied Stefano Pioli’s men the chance to return to the summit of Serie A, leaving both teams still trailing leaders Napoli in an increasingly tight title race.
Inter Milan 4-1 Cremonese
Inter Milan dominated Cremonese in a convincing 4-1 win at San Siro in rainy conditions, demonstrating why they’re serious title contenders. They took the lead early through Lautaro Martínez, assisted by Ange-Yoan Bonny. Bonny himself doubled the lead with a header from a Federico Dimarco cross just before halftime. After the break, Inter didn’t ease off. Dimarco got on the scoresheet, and Bonny set up Nicolo Barella for the fourth, underscoring the visitors’ defensive fragility. Cremonese managed a late consolation via Bonazzoli, but Inter’s sharp performance and fitness impressed, bringing them level on points with the other top sides in Serie A.
