With a dream start to the season already secured, Nairobi United FC will be looking to extend their perfect start to the season with a victory over Bidco United in their second clash in the Kenyan Premier League.
After a thrilling weekend of action in the KPL, which saw eight matches played this being 2025/26 matchweek four, the round wraps up today, Monday, October 6, with a standalone clash as Bidco United welcome Nairobi United at the SportPesa Arena in Murang'a. Kick off is at 3 PM.
The NaiBois launched their debut in the League on a high note. Fresh from qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26 second preliminary round, they faced Mara Sugar in their first league assignment at the Awendo Green Stadium, securing a narrow 0-1 victory, thanks to a second-half strike from Ovella Ochieng,
They visit a side that also started the season strongly with a massive victory in their opener. Bidco managed to edge record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia 0-1 at the Kasarani Stadium thanks to a late penalty from Newton Ochieng.
This will be only their second match of the season, having missed the second and third weeks due to postponed fixtures and they will know that a win will propel them to a fantastic position, as they look to try avoid relegation this season, after a 2024/25 that threatened to see them drop to the second tier.
Nairobi United coach Nicholas Muyoti: This is a chance to collect three more points and we are looking forward to making this start to the competition even better with three points, he said.
Bidco coach Anthony Akhulia: This is a vital match for both sides. A win will be important. Our players must be focused and we will get the desired result, he said.
