Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has refuted claims that he met with President William Ruto.
The former Vice President dismissed a widely circulated video on social media that appears to show the two leaders interacting.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Kalonzo questioned why his political rivals seemed unsettled, adding that the People’s Loyal Coalition remains dedicated to serving the people.
He insisted that no amount of propaganda or misinformation would shake their determination to stand with Kenyans.
"Why are they so panicked? The People’s Loyal Coalition will never take part in the ultimate betrayal of Kenyans for political convenience and short-term gain," he stated.
Kalonzo has clarified that the widely circulated video clip was recorded on March 9, 2024, during the presentation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report at State House.
The footage, which captured his interaction with President Ruto, has sparked misleading speculation about his political position.
However, Kalonzo dismissed these claims, asserting that the video is being used in a deliberate effort to damage his reputation.
Meanwhile, Raila and Ruto have formally signed a framework agreement, which they claim is intended to facilitate cooperation between ODM and Kenya Kwanza in delivering their campaign promises.
"This moment is not about William Ruto or Raila Odinga. This memorandum of understanding is not about power-sharing or election victories; it is about serving the interests of the Kenyan people," Ruto remarked.
