Mudavadi emphasized that despite the evolving political landscape in the country, President Ruto remains a strong contender for a second term.

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, has dismissed any chances of President William Ruto losing the 2027 elections.

Mudavadi emphasized that despite the evolving political landscape in the country, President Ruto remains a strong contender for a second term.

He called on the people of Western Kenya to stay united and fully support the President and his development agenda for both the region and the nation.

PCS Mudavadi urged the people of Western Kenya to stay focused and united, putting aside blame and working together towards shared goals.

"The door to State House is open and has always been open to all Kenyans. President Ruto has the best intentions for every Kenyan and every region. We should welcome him wholeheartedly," said the PCS.

He explained that the guidance he offers to the people of Western Kenya and the nation is aimed at securing a positive political future.

"I spoke to you here before the 2022 elections and pointed out the direction the country was heading. Many dismissed it or saw it as a joke, but those who chose differently have now joined us," he said.

"With my long experience in politics, I’ve reassessed the situation and want to assure you that defeating William Ruto in 2027 will be very challenging. I was the one who led you to NASA in 2017 and then to the ‘Earthquake’ in 2022. Now, we are part of a broad-based coalition, and I want you to be prepared for the next steps I will outline as we approach 2027."

Referencing the agreement between President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to collaborate under a broad-based alliance, Musalia Mudavadi noted that removing Ruto from power in 2027 would be an uphill task.

“We must join hands in building the country. You witnessed President Ruto and I backing Raila Odinga’s bid for the African Union Commission Chairmanship. Raila remains sharp and capable, and as ODM leader, he made a conscious choice for his party to cooperate with Kenya Kwanza," Mudavadi said.

Mudavadi emphasized that his guiding principle in politics has always been the need for mutual respect and unity among Kenyans, regardless of political differences.

"For us to build a stronger, more prosperous nation and a better society, we must respect and embrace one another despite our affiliations or political rivalries," he stated.

He reiterated the government’s strong commitment to devolution, noting that he played a pivotal role as the founding minister behind key legislation that laid the foundation for the current devolved system.

Mudavadi affirmed that the government will continue working to ensure devolution delivers meaningful development and services to all Kenyans.

He made the remarks in Sabatia, Vihiga County during the funeral of Mzee Aggrey Luseno, a distinguished figure in Kenya’s corporate landscape.
